Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to request deletion of data processed by AsterBeam Ads, including data associated with Meta (Facebook/Instagram) connections, as required by Meta's User Data Deletion policy option (Data Deletion Instructions URL).

Who can request deletion

Deletion requests may be submitted by the Shopify store owner or an authorized staff member of the store that installed AsterBeam Ads.

Option A — Uninstall the app (recommended)

1. In Shopify Admin, go to Apps → AsterBeam Ads → Uninstall.
2. Uninstalling stops the app from accessing your Shopify store going forward.

Option B — Revoke Meta access (if you connected Meta)

If you connected a Facebook/Instagram (Meta) account to AsterBeam Ads, you can also revoke permissions directly in Meta/Facebook settings under Apps and Websites, then remove AsterBeam Ads from the list (naming may vary by locale). Or you can go to "Settings" page in the App and click "Disconnect".

Option C — Request deletion by email (manual request)

Subject: Data Deletion Request — AsterBeam Ads

Include:

• Your Shopify store domain (e.g., example.myshopify.com)
• The email address of the store owner/admin contacting us
• Whether you also want Meta connection data removed (if applicable)

After receiving a verified request, deletion will be processed within 30 days (often much faster).

What will be deleted

Upon verified request, AsterBeam Ads will delete or permanently de-identify, where applicable:

• Meta connection data (e.g., access tokens and related identifiers) tied to your store.
• Generated creative assets and related generation records tied to your store (creative sets, asset URLs/metadata).
• Product records and sync metadata stored by the app for your store (titles, image URLs, internal IDs).

What may be retained

Some records may be retained only as required for legal, tax, security, or dispute-resolution purposes (and access will be restricted):

• Billing/transaction records (e.g., credit ledger entries) required for accounting/audit.
• Minimal security logs necessary to prevent fraud/abuse and maintain system integrity.

Confirmation

Once deletion is completed, confirmation will be sent to the email address used to submit the request.
